JANUARY:  Though winter days are short, cold and dark, they leave room for cozy moments inside and quiet gratitude for the beauty outside our windows.

FEBRUARY:  As if to say (as only an otter could) "We were Made For Each Otter", this playful otter offers a gift of sweetness and love.  A love that is sometimes quirky, sometimes unexpected, and always heartwarming.

MARCH:  As winter melts away, a magnolia blossom begins its unveiling.  Soft whites and gentle pinks reveal the promise of spring.  The first green leaves peek through; new beginnings are just around the corner!

APRIL:  Beauty and life can bloom even in unexpected places and times.  How do you get marigolds to bloom in April?  Start them in the winter months in a pale blue pail sitting on a bright, warm windowsill.  Cheating, you say?  Absolutely!  And I do recommend it.

MAY:  Paris in May is the perfect time to grab a seat at a sidewalk cafe and people watch.  The weather is mild and the crowds are, too.

JUNE:  Every grandmother had a bakelite button collection stored in an old mason jar...and if you were good, she'd let you look through it - and maybe even let you keep a few of your favorites.

JULY:  The sparkler in the pie, though small, adds a touch of magic in the moment.  Life is full of those little bursts of joy.  What are the small, sparkling moments in your life that make this summer feel special?

AUGUST:  Dandelions are a weed and often overlooked, but their resilience and beauty are there for those who take the time to look.  The flowers evolve, bloom, and spread without fanfare, just as we often grow:  quietly, and without needing recognition.

SEPTEMBER:  Pencil collections from places near and far serve as useful mementos of our summer travels - or bragging rights among out peers!

OCTOBER:   The raven seems to be eyeing me accusatorily as if to say, "There were 4 candy corns here just a moment ago."

NOVEMBER:  The cloudy sky and muted tones of the water, the grasses on the islands, and the migrating birds overhead invite us to slow down and appreciate our surrounding.  Sometimes, peace comes from simply being present in nature.

DECEMBER:  It's funny how the tiniest things can bring so much comfort.  A bowl of pomanders and a couple of cookies can transform the whole room.  The mix of scents (Spicy, sweet) makes everything feel warmer.
